What is JeepSpeed?
The ATK/Gearhead JeepSpeed Racing Series has been designed to give Jeep enthusiasts the opportunity to take their daily driver and race it among other enthusiasts. The JeepSpeed Series is split into two divisions: the Challenge and the Cup.
The ATK Engines Jeepspeed Challenge is open to Jeep Cherokee XJ models produced from 1984 through 2001 with a stock wheel base +/- 2" = 103.4", Wrangler TJ max wheelbase 103.4", Wrangler JK 2 door stock wheelbase 95.74" +/- 2"= 97.4", Grand Cherokee ZJ and WJ 105.9". Any option combination (2-door, 4-door, 2-wheel-drive, 4-wheel-drive, 4-cylinder, V6, inline 6, manual transmission, automatic transmission, etc.) is acceptable, as long as it was available in the United States from the manufacturer in that configuration.
The ATK High Performance Engines Cup Race is open to Jeep and Dodge Utility Vehicles. Any option combination (2-door, 4-door, 2-wheel-drive, 4-wheel-drive, 4-cylinder, V6, inline 6, V8, manual transmission, automatic transmission, etc.) is acceptable, as long as it was available in the United States from the manufacturer. The only limit is that the 8 cylinder engines cannot be dry sump.
When is JeepSpeed?
The racing season consists of 5 Challenge/Cup events with 2 bonus events and runs from January through November. The 2010 Schedule is:
